Questions and answers

Is Vocabit free?

Yes. You can download Vocabit and learn for free: flashcards, multiple-choice and typing tests, duels, Brain Ring, a daily goal and streaks, plus 2 textbook scans and 1 Magic AI set every month. Vocabit Pro is an optional subscription that removes the limits.

Which languages can I learn?

English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Norwegian, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, with translations into the language you know.

Do I need an account?

No. You can start right away. Save your progress with Apple or e-mail when you want your sets and streak on another device too.

How do I get cards from a textbook?

Take a photo of a page, open a PDF or paste a YouTube link. Vocabit finds the words and makes flashcards with translations, and you check the list before adding it. Magic AI can also build a set on any topic.

What does “learned” mean?

A word counts as learned when you answer it right on three different days. Vocabit asks again after a week, two weeks, a month, and one mistake sends the word back to learning.

What does Vocabit Pro add?

No limits on scans and Magic AI (up to 100 cards at a time), free hints in typing tests, the true-or-false test, 4 voices and the article of the week read aloud, 12 color themes with a custom mix, parties of up to 30 players and Brain Ring without losing lives. Learning itself stays free.

Is there an iPad or Android version?

Vocabit runs on iPhone and iPad. There is no Android version yet.

How do I play Brain Ring with friends?

Start a party in the app and show the QR code. Friends join from their phones, in the app or right in the browser. A party takes up to 5 players, up to 30 with Pro.
